Highlights of the Sale

Ward Brothers Mallard Duck Decoy Bookends (Lot 67): The Ward Brothers of Crisfield, Maryland are towering figures in American folk art decoy carving. Attributed pieces from these legendary craftsmen command serious attention at major folk art auctions, making this potentially the standout lot of the entire sale.

Edison Model D Red Gem Cylinder Phonograph (Lot 14): One of the most recognizable and coveted early sound reproduction devices, this early 20th century Edison Red Gem — complete with traceable serial number 323579D — is certain to attract phonograph collectors and technology history enthusiasts alike.

Antique Hand-Colored Map by Vincenzo Maria Coronelli, 1688 (Lot 9): The Archipelague du Mexique, a hand-colored reproduction bearing the name of one of the 17th century’s most celebrated cartographers, represents the cartographic centerpiece of the sale — a compelling draw for antique map dealers and serious collectors.

Early 19th Century Stoneware Jar Attributed to William Capron, Albany, NY (Lot 52): Albany was a major hub of early American stoneware production, and an attributed piece from a documented potter of this era is among the most significant ceramic offerings in the sale — a must for serious stoneware collectors.

Antique German Bisque Head Dolls — Armand Marseille, C.M. Bergmann/Simon & Halbig, Kammer & Reinhardt (Lots 58–60): Three exemplary lots from the most revered names in antique German doll manufacturing, led by the highly desirable Kammer & Reinhardt/Simon & Halbig 122 Toddler mold — a rare grouping that will energize dedicated antique doll buyers.
